Bostjan Korbar
Producer and Videographer “I enjoy thinking visually, and getting people to think in other dimensions." Bostjan (boost-JON) brings to CTL extensive experience as a film and television writer and director in his native Slovenia, the United States, and South America. His knack for capturing compelling and instructive images is making it possible for CTL to effectively communicate with educators around the world. For CTL, Bostjan produces and directs videos to document and support all professional development initiatives, including DVDs on CTL's work on the federal Striving Readers project and the Regional Education Laboratory (REL)-Appalachia hybrid algebra study, the Teaching the Writer professional development video, which was distributed to teachers throughout Kentucky, the Math in the Middle professional development videos, which received international recognition for excellence in visual communication, and a video for parents on developing and supporting a college-going culture, distributed by GEAR UP Kentucky. Bostjan’s work also includes children’s and arts programming, documentaries, industrial and short films, TV commercials and music videos. He has directed more than 250 TV shows. Bostjan also enjoys swimming and playing tennis with his young son.
