Much of the work of the Collaborative depends on the generosity
of private corporations and foundations that share the mission of
seeing schools made better for our nation's children. The kind of
comprehensive, multi-year work we do with schools involves a substantial
financial commitment on the part of schools.
The Collaborative seeks partnerships with forward-looking individuals,
businesses and foundations that understand the need for private
answers to public problems. Many schools simply cannot afford to
initiate a multi-year, whole-school approach involving multiple
days of training, on-site coaching, high-quality teacher and students
materials, and related costs like travel, substitute fees, etc.
It takes funding assistance from outside sources for most schools
to begin on the path of whole-school transformation.
