From 1999 to2002 the University of Louisville School of Education provided graduate-level credit for teachers enrolled in the Collaborative's Accelerated Schools Process, Different Ways of Knowing or Standards-Based Teaching and Learning services, as part of their school-wide professional development.
From 1996-1998 the Collaborative worked with the School of Education to infuse the education methods courses with best practices aimed at teaching new teachers how to implement student-centered, and constructivist practices to reach and teach all learners, regardless of their socioeconomic or racial characteristics, or perceived learning abilities.
